ECB says it will won't set its roof on fire despite Fed - cites independent policy

The European Central Bank says it is not tied to Fed moves, so despite Roof of the New York Fed catches fire the roof in Frankfurt will remain, for now, unlit

An official added that any moves to ignite the roof, should the Board deem that necessary, would be gradual.

The Bank of Japan is said to be considering a move to flame its roof, but is concerned well under 2% of its roof is flammable - says it expects any fire to be moderate as a trend.
